Happy Birthday to me!

Goodbye 26, hello 27! :) Although I really miss A, I had a wonderful birthday weekend with my family, friends, and little Ruby! I came home on Friday to this cute flower cake from A! How sweet!

Saturday afternoon, my good friend Michelle spoiled me by taking me to get a mani/pedi! We had a great time and then we hit up Charmin' Charlie. I got these pretty bracelettes:

Then I headed to my parents house. I finally got to meet my sister's dog, Brody! He is the sweetest dog ever! (Ruby is still the cutest dog ever, but Brody is pretty stinkin' sweet!)

My parents took my sister and I out to dinner last night and it was wonderful! We went to Shade in the Heights. Apparently, the food and conversation were so good that I forgot to take any pictures! :) I got some great presents too! New earrings, How I Met Your Mother (season 1), Laura Mercier eye shadow palette, Sephora GC, and $ for my new lap top! (see below!)

I took Ruby on a beach tour this morning! We started out at Quintana, then we went over to Surfside. And because two of the things that I love most in this world are the beach and driving - we drove the Bluewater Highway over to Galveston Island as well. I think Ruby really enjoyed herself! :)

And as if that wasn't enough excitement for one weekend - I went out and bought a new laptop today! EEK! It's so preeeetty!

Cuteness to the max

My MIL and I went to visit my nephew this weekend. He is getting so big! He showed off how well he can count and use a digital camera! As soon as I got out my camera, he posed like this:

Then he said, "I do it!!" and took a picture of me, and a picture of my MIL! I think we may have a budding photographer on our hands! ;)

Weddings and showers!

I know, I know...it has been way too long since I last posted. Work has been pretty miserable lately and I just haven't felt like doing much of anything. Luckily, Jenna got married and Lissette had a wedding shower! Both were great fun and got me out of my work-induced-funk, albeit temporarily! Jenna's wedding was absolutely wonderful. The whole weekend was amazing and it is definitely a trip I will always remember. I.love.these.girls. (even the ones that couldn't be there - love you Myriah and Elizabeth!!!)

Lissette, one of A's (many) cousins is getting married in Miami this summer! Some of the aunts threw her a wedding shower this past weekend and it was really nice to get together with family and catch up.
